After studying three-dimensional origami, the technique was applied to copper. With chemical etching technique, the shallow grooves which have not been cut through provide weaker structure that can be folded due to the characteristics of copper. The form of the products can be accomplished easily by simplify folding the etched metal sheets. Beside the ductility of red copper, various chemical reactions happen on its surface and bring out great amount of possibilities when it comes to craft design, such as rust-made pattern with different colors.
研究立體摺紙的技法,將其應用在金屬片上。以化學蝕刻技術在紅銅上形成未穿透的淺溝,使淺溝處結構減弱,並利用紅銅延展性高的特性,以簡易的施力方式將平面金屬片彎折成立體的金屬產品。
